The Opportunity:

 

As a Senior Software Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for building and maintaining test automation frameworks as well as testing and ensuring the quality and reliability of our cloud-based SaaS platform.

  • Design, develop and maintain functional, regression, integration and end-to-end automated tests using Selenium
  • Think strategically to improve testing processes and help define best practices while providing high quality and scalable solutions
  • Partner with Developers and DevOps to implement new solutions and increase product test coverage.

  • Develop, review and validate high quality automated test cases and scripts
  • Manage automated test platforms and environments
  • Design and implement end-to-end test scenarios
  • Assess and evaluate new tools and testing methodologies
  • Create, update, and communicate required documentation

Qualifications

Skills and Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Golang, Typescript, JavaScript)
  • Experience with automation tools like WebDriver.io, Selenium, Swagger, and/or SoapUI
  • 3+ years’ experience building, designing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks
  • Experience in manual and automated RESTful API and web application testing
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms
  • Experience with agile methodologies and automation-first engineering practices
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL or other relational database systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years' experience with quality engineering with a focus on software testing, design control of software development, software verification and validation
  • Ability to complete detailed documentation efficiently and accurately
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to present issues, plans and objectives
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience testing cloud-native, microservices-based architectures is preferred
  • Experience testing serverless and asynchronous software architectures is a plus
  • Experience working in an AWS environment is a plus
  • Life science research experience is a plus

 

This role will be based in our Boston office (with flexible working) after government guidance suggests a safe to return to office work. Until that time, this is a remote role. You must be based in Massachusetts.
